ABOUT US

Impact the City Ministry was birthed in 2020 as a Young Adult Ministry that was focused on service to our community. While we prioritized community service, we also served as a place for spiritual growth and development as well. Once the Covid-19 Pandemic effected what in-person interactions looked like, we transitioned to a virtual ministry that conducted group devotionals and Bible Studies, hosted "Off the Record" where we connected socially and we produced a show we launched on Youtube called, "Safe Space".

In 2021, Riverside Nashville welcomed a new lead pastor, Dr. Gordon Jones and a part of his vision was to make Impact the City the SOW branch or outreach ministry of our entire church body. In the summer of 2021, we restructured our ministry's organization chart and ITC was officially launched as our outreach ministry.

We prayerfully considered what our mission and vision would be for our community and our city at large. Since 2021, we have been led to address food insecurity and it's health implications in our community. To do this, in the first quarter of 2022, we launched a Food Pantry and Community Garden. Since then we have launched a health ministry and have partnered with NOAH (Nashville Organized for Action and Hope) to combat issues like food insecurity as we fight for community justice.

God has led this ministry since its inception and has continued to keep His faithful hand on every ministry initiative, leader, volunteer, and community member that we serve. We are truly thankful to God, our church, volunteers, and supporters like you who allow us to be of service for the long haul.
